    1. by Andrea Renee CoxWhile I enjoyed portions of this book and it was a pretty good finale to the French Twist series, I was majorly disappointed in one thing that tainted the entire book for me There was a mention of a homosexual relationship A minute later, a pair of suited men walked up to the booth Were they a wedding party I d heard there were alternative couples here too p 45 I realize this type of thing is something we deal with in society, because we live in a fallen world However, it is n [...]

    2. Lexi is back in Seattle, working at her dream job It s a little difficult than she imagined with responsibilities she didn t realize she was taking on with the job She s determined to make it work, though, and quickly It s only a matter of months before she could lose it all.In Piece de Resistance, Lexi has to work through her feelings for both Dan and Phillipe I had my pick, and anticipated who would win her heart pretty early on in this book It still warmed my heart to see it all come togethe [...]

    3. I don t like tying myself down to a series, which is hard to find in christian fiction However, I read the first book in the series thinking I d read it and stop there That didn t happen I finshed the first book at work one day and went to 4 different book stores before I could find the second book I just finished this one and I am so happy with the ending I don t see why we can t have a fourth book in the series with Lexi s wedding A happy, large affair, I can just imagine Come Ms Byrd us a fou [...]

    4. Cute enough that I finished in a few hours I liked the way everything turned out and the whole series made me hungry for French treats

    5. Oh, how I LOVED this book I got it in the mail yesterday, and decided to finish the other book I was reading first, since I had less than 100 pages to go But then I picked this up, and didn t stop reading except to sleep and go out to dinner with friends and I would have rather been reading It also took every ounce of strength I had not to flip to the back of the book to see how it ended I don t know why I feel such a connection to these characters and this story, but I do.This is an example of [...]

    6. I jumped from the first book to this third book in the French Twist series paperback copies, because those covers are just too sweet with relative ease, although I m sure reading all three adds that much enjoyment to the reading experience This conclusion is certainly satisfying, and it s a pleasure to join Lexi as she discovers how best to serve others and how to reconcile her big dreams with God s grand plans For a step by step look at a slice of a twenty something young woman s life full of [...]

    7. Bryd concludes her French Twist series with Lexi, Phillipe, and Celine all back in the US at the Delacoix s new catering and wedding cake store, Bijoux Lexi has been made manager and it s up to her to get the store on the feet and producing a profit But it s not as easy as Lexi thinks especially when her heart is in the baking not the bookkeeping At the same time, she is still torn between Phillipe and Dan and which one is the man that is God s best choice for her Lexi s growing confidence in th [...]

    8. five stars for the series The book itself 4 stars the romance touched my heart, very surprising as I m not used to that in my typical trashy romances I read I found myself cheering right along with Lexi and was thrilled at her successes and stepping stones of learning recommend this series to anyone who wants a light hearted read that s full of good feels.

    9. The last book in a wonderful Christian chick lit series I m so glad I bought them all, as I enjoyed every one immensely 4.5 stars, or even close to my Harry Potter only 5 star rating Great characters, good stories, and a satisfying ending to wrap it all up I ll miss these characters and these books

    11. The book Piece de Resistance is a continuation to Let Them Eat Cake and Bon Appetit, also known as the French Twist Series Lexi has finished Chef school in France and has moved back home to Seattle to work in her own wedding cake bakery She finally gets a place to live and starts setting up the bakery but things aren t going like Lexi had planned She doesn t have enough money to do hardly anything and not enough business to earn the money they need to keep the bakery open, and Lexi hires a worke [...]

    12. This the third book in the series I listened to others on audiobook, which was helpful in hearing the french words pronounced correctly When I read this one I could still hear the reader s voice in my head Overall it is a lighthearted book on love and pursuing your dreams Lexi s dilemmas are relatable There s one guy who has shown a little interest in her who rides a motorcycle, and another one pursuing her that is less mysterious and predictable Then she has to decide how much of France she re [...]

    13. The third in the French Twist series I enjoyed the first one, Let Them Eat Cake, but found it very light I haven t found a copy of the second one, Bon Appetit to read yet This one was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it much than the first one While I think that reading all of them in order is probably a good idea, my not reading the second one didn t detract too much from the story Having the back history of Lexi s experience in Paris would have been helpful, but the story moved along well without i [...]

    14. Well, it s a happy day and a sad day A happy day because I just finished reading Piece de Resistance and I loved it It s a sad day because now the French Twist series is all over I have loved this series since the very beginning and I will miss these characters and all the wonderful cakes Piece de Resistance was everything I hoped it would be and There were some delightful surprises and adorable new characters All the loose ends were tied up and the book ended exactly the way I was hoping it wo [...]

    15. I have two words for this series tres magnifique Piece de Resistance is the icing on the cake of the French Twist series In the style of the first two books Sandra Byrd weaves a tale that s both uplifting and inspirational while keeping a fun, and sometimes flirty, feel Having followed Lexi through 2 books you would think you would be able to see things coming but still I was than 1 3 of the way through the story before I could decide whether Lexi would choose bachelor 1 or bachelor 2 I loved h [...]

    16. Pi ce de R sistance by Sandra Byrd is the third and final volume in the French Twist series following Lexi Stuart in her quest to become successful in work and love It picks up immediately after Bon Appetit with Lexi returning home from Paris to Seattle to start a pastry and wedding cake shop, Bijoux, under the Delacroix family banner Torn between the affections of her suave French boss Philippe and his adorable daughter Celine and all American lawyer Dan, Lexi isn t sure which mans holds the ke [...]

    17. This book was fine while I was reading it, but I was dissatisfied with the ending I didn t really feel anything about this book I never really connected with Lexi as I had in the first book of the series, and I never felt emotionally invested in the choices she had to make between the love triangle guys or whether she should stay in France or Seattle. When it ended in an engagement spoiler though it seems obvious from the book cover , it didn t feel to me like the characters were ready to be enga [...]

    18. Pi ce de R sistance is a strongly Christian themed chick lit story of twenty something Alexandra Stuart known to most as Lexi and her struggle to find the right path for her life, career, and love This is the third in the French Twist series, and the books really MUST be read in order, as Byrd tells of an ongoing saga than a series with stand alone stories I read book one Let Them Eat Cake and missed book two Bon Appetit I won t go back for it, though, because book three Pi ce de R sistance rea [...]

    19. I just finished reading the French Twist series and fell in love with Lexi and all the other characters My first time to read any Sandra Byrd books and I m definitely hooked now Can t wait to try the recipes she included in these books I was reading on my Kindle and would stop after each recipe to write them down before going on reading They all sound delicious and I m sure they are I ll report back I got the first French Twist book from Book Bulb off my e mail which is how I was first introduce [...]

    20. This was the last book in a delightful trilogy about Lexi Stuart, a 25 year old young woman who is following her passion of baking and all things French In this book, she has now returned home from her 6 months in France and has been offered a job as the pastry chef at a new bakery However, she only has 12 months to make it work or she ll be out of a job.Besides the job situation, she s also living in the guest room at her grandmother s retirement home and doesn t have a vehicle She s trying to [...]

    21. What a fun conclusion to this series Lexi s faith is a central theme throughout the series, and I really appreciated the way she looked to God as she was making difficult decisions The Bible was a go to for her from the beginning of the series, and not just a last resort when she encountered difficulty What a great example The author did a great job of bringing resolution to each aspect of the story It seemed there were several times when I could have easily gone either way on a decision that Le [...]

    22. After waiting 10 months for this last book in the French Twist series to be released on audio so I could once again read along as Carine Montbertrand delighted my ears with her French, I could wait no longer I had to read this last book on my own and do my best to remember how she made every character sound It took no time at all to remember where Lexi was in her life just returned from France and about to open her own little jewel in the Delecroix bakeries in Seattle AND still caught between tw [...]

    23. Similarly to my opinion of the second book in this series, my opinion of this book is probably influenced by how much I identify with the main character Not that I ever had a French man and an American man vying for my attentions or started a wedding cake business but the going overseas, speaking two languages, trying to fit in at church as a young adult, and even loving a guy named Dan made it seem a bit personal at times Anyway, Lexi s journey of finding her own place in the world was fun to f [...]

    24. The third book in Byrd s French Twist series, and it skillfully wraps up the story of Lexi and her trials and tribulations of finding herself, her God, her vocation and her manry nearly in that order The first book generally sets up the plot, whereas the second book takes a lot of twists and turns I know some readers will cringe at even a hint of religious overtones, but I thought Byrd brought in the subject in a very pleasant and believable way Each of the main characters are flawed and painful [...]

    25. In this final installment, Lexi returns to Seattle and things heat up where her love life is concerned As she struggles to open a new bakery and work within a limited time to make it a success, Phillipe and Celine offer her a chance at getting to know them better while she is still sorting out her feelings for Dan, the attorney she met shortly before leaving for France Going from no prospects to possibly two adds to her chaotic life as she weighs the possibilities and seeks God s guidance in fin [...]

    26. Definitely my favourite of the series Lexi has really grown since the first book She has learned what she wants in life and is willing to work for it She is also striving to place her trust in God There was one sentence said by her grandmother that had me worried that a bombshell I would not be happy about was going to be dropped at some point but thankfully nothing ever came out of this, cause I really liked the person that she was referring to I enjoyed the ending very much and felt that it r [...]

    27. I absolutely LOVE this entire series and let me just say this book did not disappoint as the conclusion Lexi once again heads into a whirlwind adventure as she begins a new chapter of her life, growing in her faith along the way She is so adorable and the ending was great, SWOON If I had one negative thing to say it would be that I was disappointed there was no EpilogueI felt like something with a few months later would have really concluded the story Hard not to spoil it Great series, first one [...]

    28. 3rd of the series and I really enjoyed the characters and the story line It was simple but it was also about making decisions and letting God guide you thru them I thought this was done very well in these series and that a reader can apply to their own lives It was also about how God can use wherever you are and it was done very realistically The main theme was thinking and doing for another.

    29. What a delightful read I am so pleased to have found this series by Sandra ByrdI waited anxiously for each new one to come out This is an easy read, great for young Christian romanticsd anyone else who enjoys a fun love story AND as an extra bonus, there are RECIPES too I love novels with recipes.Pick this one up today You don t have to read the previous two, but I recommend them too.
