    2. Sweet, heart warming read that made me all misty eyed at the end I would highly recommend this to fans of Donna VanLiere and Richard Paul Evans.

    3. To fully enjoy and appreciate this humorous, heartfelt, and serendipitous Christmas themed story, one needs to let go of adult world realism and cynicism, and read with a youthful heart and hopeful innocence I did And I m glad I did We must never get so old and set in our ways that we lose our childlike wonder and joy When we were children we were grateful to those who filled our stockings at Christmastime Why are we not grateful to God for filling our stockings with legs Gilbert K ChestertonMir [...]

    5. An emotional and thought provoking story to end my season of Christmas themed books This story really makes you think about the true meaning of Christmas and it is not all about the gifts given and received Sometimes a gift given is not a purchased item This story is a perfect idea for people to do with their children that may be at the point where they no longer believe in Santa or think they deserve everything they asked for Sometimes we all need to take a step back and see what truly is impor [...]

    6. I loved this It was heartwarming and shares what the Christmas season is supposed to be about.Aaron and Molar were busy eating leftover turkey sandwiches when their dad hurried them along so that they could go to the mall and see Santa Both boys are shocked because they really didn t believe in Santa any, and their dad sounded excited about getting to the mall Upon arrival the boys get in line and are given a piece of paper to write down all of the things they wanted to receive for Christmas Bot [...]

    7. For a book that is trying to send a message about unconditional love, friendship and goodwill, the author relies heavily on stereotypes for his characters and dialog.

Every Christmas season there are several wonderful, inspiring novels published I read one each year to get in the spirit, in addition to returning to old favorites My new book this year is The Paper Bag Christmas by Kevin Alan Milne The first thing that caught my eye after seeing it was a Christmas themed book, was the author s last name According to Milne s web site, his mother has done research that links them with the author of the Winnie the Pooh stories That s a fun bit of information The P [...]

    17. This is one of those stories that is meant to be read while holding a steaming mug of hot chocolate and curled up on a comfortable couch in front of the fireplace.Mo lar and Aaron Alan are two ordinary boys who, thanks to a little trick played by their father, which starts with them deflating the legs of an apparently legless father and ends with them volunteering in the children s ward of a hospital for the Christmas season, have the opportunity to experience their first real Christmas at a ver [...]

    18. This was my second reading of The Paper Bag Christmas I first read it in December of 2008 It is a lovely story to revisit. Two brothers make a visit to the mall Santa and are convinced to join him in helping with some children, many terminally ill, at the local hospital One little girl, suffering with a brain tumor, always wears a paper bag over her head to cover her scars and loss of hair Mo, the younger brother, befriends her in spite of, or maybe because of, a series of ill chosen remarks that [...]

    19. It was very therapeutic to read this beautifully written Christmas story.I don t even know how many tears I shed during the Christmas pageant scene it was so beautiful and pregnant with meaning it taught me what Christmas is about and reminded me there are things which cannot be seen yet far important than those which can be seen and bought.I found the plot is a bit predictable yet the prologue and the epilogue were interesting with a heart warming twist However, I didn t like the very last dia [...]

    20. A fantastic story, not just of Christmas, but the reason we should celebrate it Sometimes we can forget what that holiday is really all about Giving, Loving, Caring and sharing That s what it s supposed to be about This book reminds you of that The author also created a way, through story telling, to help you better understand the true meaning of Christmas It may be a holiday once a year, but really should be celebrated everyday, all day.It s not a very long book, but I highly suggest you get a [...]

    21. Dr Christopher Ringle, a pediatric oncologist, is the last person you d expect to find moonlighting as Santa Claus at the mall on the day after Thanksgiving He recruits nine year old Mo and his older brother as volunteers at a nearby children s hospital for the holiday season They meet many children and learn alittle about Christmas than they thought they would.I found this to be very touching, sensitive and an inspirational story You will not be able to hold back the tears of sorrow and genuin [...]

    22. This book was amazing One of the best books I ve ever read When Molar and his brother are forced to go to the mall and see Santa, they meet someone who is than just a guy in a red and white costume They meet Dr Chris Ringle who says if they help him deliver gifts to the cancer patients on floor number 5 of the hospital, he will give them a Christmas gift far better than they ve ever imagined They meet some inspirational friends along the way and experience something much greater than money can [...]

    23. I am not big on Santa, so I was a bit dubious about this book To my surprise, it was not at all what I was expecting Though this book is fiction, I found it to be a very touching story I laughed through the hospital Christmas pageant, and found myself crying as two very different kids gave their own unique Christmas gifts to God The book definitely had its sad moments, yet the message of the reason for Christmas comes through in the end and there are enough high points in the book to make the bo [...]

    24. A mostly very good story about two young brothers who help in the children s ward of a hospital during the Christmas season The Christmas pageant happenings are heart stirring, and the friendships developed believable The search for Santa is fun and the fourth wise man who finds faith are a good fit for the story But the ending is too much It s over the top everything works out Tons of good comes from one sad loss, which is nice but not very realistic Something good may come from tragedy, but us [...]

    25. I really enjoyed this story about two young brothers who learn to value what s really important in life The book was thoroughly engaging, the cast of characters was memorable, and the message was heartfelt Highly recommended.

    26. How can I not give my own book 5 stars, right I will say this though is being re released with new editing and a new cover this October 2008 by Hachette Book Group, and I promise it has only gotten better Thanks to all for reading it
