    1. DNFOkay, well that was just REALLY weird I picked this up free on kindle, and thought I d give it a try I got about 45% through, and nothing was making sense, and was just getting and frustratingly confusing Not to mention the instances of bad language that were growing frequent Not my thing, both content, and story wise.

    2. No free lunch How about a free novella well, it s a bit shorter than that I ate this thing up in an hour, no breaks It moves at a frantic pace, but with enough moments for reflection to let you get to know the characters, and the world What most impressed me was the author managed to develop characters, plot and world in such a short work Heck, most books in this genre don t manage that And best of all it s NOT a cliffhanger Bravo

    3. As a longtime Atlanta resident, I m always interested in books that take place in my hometown, so seeing the description of Julian North s novella Rise of Order, set in a dystopian futuristic Atlanta, definitely piqued my curiosity But, while the local setting was the hook that led me to read the book, Rise of Order turned out to be an entertaining action story with some intriguing speculation about the future, both in Georgia and around the country.Rise of Order appears to take place in the not [...]

    4. Novel in a Novella frame I ve read novels with as much action twists turns strong protagonist and multiple otherwise involved characters using 280 350 pages, and many of them weren t able to weave such a busy and interesting storyline This is my first reading from this author, and she didn t disappoint in the least I ve since bought her actual novel titled Age of Order, and will start my reading of it tomorrow. This novella took a little over an hour to read A very well enjoyed and spent amount o [...]

    5. Just OKVery short Not complete in itself It seems to start in the middle of a story and it drops suddenly at the end without resolving anything I have no idea whether the characters are likeable or believable There isn t enough to go on It s enjoyable enough, and I appreciate the non offensive story Even the violence was not too gory Maybe the full length books are better.

    6. A free prequel to whet the appetite for a trilogy. It s likely an effective marketing tactical especially considering how believable and interesting the fictional world presented is I know that I m very interested in reading the trilogy after reading this prequel.

    7. Obviously background for a series The writing was engaging, the plot twisted a bit, and it kept my attention, which has been pretty short in span recently.

    8. Not badInteresting start to much longer story I will definitely red the trilogy that follows this storyNia is a character to watch for, she is nasty.

    9. To bad it was a short story To bad it was a short story Could not put it down I sure hope she writes books Great stories

    10. It was a nice short read I haven t read the first book yet, but this was pretty amazing that it makes me want to read the rest Action packed dystopian is right up my alley.

    11. Jenn and her classmates are on their way home when there is a tragedy aboard the private plane they are has to make an emergency landing in South Atlanta a part of the state that is not controlled by the government Jenn and her classmates are whisked off the plane with their hands tied and a bag over their heads They are taken to the underground tunnels of an old subway Their captors want money and information from one of Jenn s classmates If they don t get the info they require then it could co [...]
