    1. From the title of the book it is quite clear this is a sales book so I m unsure why there are so many one star reviews expecting it was a sequel to The Wolf of Wall Street autobiography. For someone who doesn t work in sales the book still had several useful elements and explained the importance of planning your script, state management, anchoring, matching and mirroring, predicting likely objections, keeping the conversation on track, choice of words and the subtle use of tonality All would be u [...]

    3. Read the full review at my blog Digital AmritI m the Wolf of Wall Street Remember me The one who Leonardo DiCaprio played on the silver screen, the one who took thousands of young kids, who could barely walk and chew gum at the same time, and turned them into world class closers using a seemingly magical sales training system called the Straight Line The one who tortured all those panic stricken New Zealanders at the end of the movie because they couldn t sell me a pen the right way You remember [...]

    4. If you are looking for a sequel to Wolf of Wall Street, you will be extremely confused when you open this book Now, when it comes to Way of the Wolf by Jordan Belfort, it seems as if a true salesman has the ability to sell the ability to sell This is overall a descriptive nonfiction book pertaining to the art of closing a deal, and for the overall sake of selling objects, this book would be crucial to anyone who might even think about entering the world of marketing or selling There is a lot to [...]

Bestselling author and The Wolf of Wall Street , Jordan Belfort, shares step by step instructions on using his very successful Straight Line System for any business, industry and even your personal life He notes that you do not have to be in sales to use this system You can use it from selling your great qualities in a job interview to selling anyone on a great idea.He teaches one how to use the Three Tens to influence a customer He discusses the five core elements of the Straight Line System an [...]

    6. WARNING Those who are expecting a sequel to The Wolf on Wall Street will be disappointed This is a how to sell book This is a self help book for anyone who wants to improve his ability to sell anything The book has a casual, conversational tone throughout Some may see this as attractive and it usually is.However, with Belfort, it makes the book into a long winded book.He often goes off on tangents instead of sticking with a punchy, direct style. The book has promising moments It features many lis [...]

    7. Discovering the sales and persuasion secrets, sorry system, as developed and utilised by The Wolf of Wall Street , aka Jordan Belfort, is the aim of this book Belfort s Straight Line Selling system is said to be a slam dunk way of converting customers into hard currency This reviewer cannot comment on the system, but the book didn t wholeheartedly win me over. The concept and promise is attractive and interesting, but the realisation was a bit of a turgid, narrative and mixed read It requires foc [...]

    8. Way of the Wolf is a book about sales focused specifically on the sales presentation from opening to closing It is by no means a comprehensive sales book and does not deal with any administrative tasks like scheduling appointments, CRM, managing accounts, etc Rather, the book goes into the ethics, demeanor, verbal and non verbal communication of the salesperson from the moment they engage a prospect until a decision is made from the perspective of a single deal following Jordan Belfort s straigh [...]

    9. Jordan is hyper vigilant at custom tailoring sales scripts for every possible scenario This a must have for anyone in Sales or interested in accomplishing a goal because we are either selling or we re failing Nuggets of Truth Stuck in the muck of averagism I feel my face growing hot Goal oriented communication Novices speak in far less definate terms Core need your looking to fillA disinterested bore As dull as dishwater It s your words that move your prospect logically and your tonality that mo [...]

    10. At a glance, you d be forgiven to think that Jordan Belfort, the erstwhile Wolf of Wall Street s new book, is just another ruse to fleece the duping public out of even money and further cement his infamy. You d be most hasty in doing so, as Belfort s new book is centred around his updated Straight Line Selling system Gone are the high pressure sales tactics, forced buys, no ethics and sell at all costs culture What remains are some very cogent strategies for persuasive selling in the role of a t [...]

    11. A must read and re read for anybody working in sales or working with people in general Regardless of your perception of The Wolf , the man is a master of influence Like similar books I ve read in this category, Jordan provides many useful tips and pointers to use and improve on your own skills However, unlike a lot of those same books, the examples he provides are extremely clear and concise, allowing for a better understanding and grasp of each concept As well as a great full circle demonstrati [...]

    12. I had mixed emotions about Way of the Wolf There s a strong undercurrent of arrogance and pomposity look at the cover photo running through the book I felt as if I were channeling the System from a place of infinite knowledge and wisdom And his system was so utterly brilliant that, after he deigned to teach it to people who could barely walk and chew gum at the same time, even they were able to make millions But If you can get past all that, and it s a lot to get past, I grant you sort of like e [...]

    13. Actionable Advice I ve read a few sales books in the past that didn t really cover much of anything other than have a good attitude, put your customer first, don t take no for an answer, and the usual jumbo jumbo that anyone can write and slap a price tag on Reading Jordan s book and actually putting it in to action has helped me close sales than I have ever done I ve also learned that most of the people who say no outright almost expect you to give them a rebuttal and when you don t they actua [...]

    14. Usually I dislike books or e books written by sales people like Jordan Belfort I usually find myself in a trap of lies where they don t get to the bottom of why their tactics work or they are in the business of promoting themselves as opposed to their tactics But I must say, this book does a good job and does make sense to me Could someone walk away from a sales pitch because they don t trust you or your company Or feel your product sucks Sure, that is very true His straight line system does ma [...]

    15. This guy was portrayed to be such a lowlife, d bag in the movie I don t think he has an ethical bone if his body That being said, he has some great insight into selling The book is worth the read for any salesperson or business owner The system can be used ethically It is based on solid psychological evidence The examples are clear and easy to implement He stresses that a big key is not selling to someone who doesn t need your product or service Maybe his editor has an ethical bone.

    16. The bad it s sometimes basic, rehashing some concepts of NLP or conditioning, and it could some examples to illustrate the points Although a simple system, Straight Line has a lot of nuances and I think dozens and dozens of examples could clarify the subtleties. The great it s a unique and interesting take on sales, recapping many existing concepts of psychology, conditioning and NLP and unifying them with Belfort s unique style It s direct and upfront and no BS, and I love that direct style of [...]

    17. Thank you for sending me this book An interesting read The book is primarily about Straight Line Selling and the strategies and tactics used to influence or persuade people to buy a product or an idea You do not need to be a wannabe Wolf of Wall Street, or even want to be a salesperson to enjoy this book, as the principles of his selling techniques can be used in many walks of life It is written in an entertaining way with some enjoyable anecdotes and flows well.

    18. Books by sales trainer are designed to sell sales training If you expect that, this is actually a fun read It is written like one would talk, so don t expect great penmanship Also do not expect to learn the system, but get a taste After reading so many books about sales systems, you always find something to learn, and this is entertaining at least.Last but not least, you learn how to sell THAT pen.

    19. This narcissistic bastard just thought me how to manipulate an individuals inner monologue using your body language and tonality I wanted to give it 5 stars but because the first two chapters are about how good of a sales person he is it gets a four Bit to much if u ask me I mean there was a fucking movie produced on his ability to persuade people No need to read two chapters of bragging den is it

    20. Great book.Halfway through the book I was a little skeptical regarding how efficient this straight line method was However, after finishing the book, and testing his theory, it definitely is an extremely efficient way of selling I think a lot of people overthink selling im not in sales, so this is just an opinion , but Jordan simplifies it and gives you the most efficient and effective way of selling.

    21. I will never watch The Wolf of Wall Street the same way again, ever As I was listening to the audiobook, I was also recollecting selling scenes from the movie that fit in perfectly.Very glad I listened to audiobook first to get a good sense of the tonalities Belfort narrated the audiobook himself which was one of the key things I learned from this But I have now ordered the book as well so I can work further on implementing straight line in my industry.Highly recommended.

    22. Only sales book you ll ever need to read. This is the only sales book you ever need to read From tonality, to body language, to nlp This book has it all I do wish it had scripting, but a 5 star read either way.
