    1. I don t rate my own books I m totally biased because I think they re fabulous so I will leave it to my lovely readers to handle my ratings But I do like to post my personal thoughts about the making of each book The Emerge series has a large cast of characters, both young and old The family connections can get a little complicated, but I ve had years with my imaginary friends, so I know them quite well In fact, I know them so well, I have tons of information to share about them that might not ev [...]

    2. This is a pretty cool reading companion I know I got lost a lot with the amount of characters featured in the Emerge series, and this spells each one of them out for us It has everything from their height and origin, to their special abilities, and lots of little extras. It brings the characters to life, giving them a three dimensional quality. It includes cool drawings of what the characters look like, and some were even surprising not at all how I imagined, so it s cool to see the author s image [...]

    3. History Information on All charactersReading the Scholar gives you info on the people groups in the series I liked learning what the Scholar knows does I would say any one that loves the Emerge Series should read this book.

    4. I found this book interesting and confusing I liked it But at first I couldn t figure it out Then I realized it was like a journal Once I wrapped my head around that, then I was able to enjoy it and understand the back Then I figured out it was an introduction to and background info book Now I can read the series and be in the know Hopefully I won t forget everything between now and then

    5. The characters a series of books has, the taxing it often is to keep track of them all, especially when each character has their own unique personality, backstory and skill set.If you re going to read Melissa Craven s Emerge series, you really only have two choices 1 Go with the flow If a character enters a scene and the name sound familiar but you re not sure, and you keep reading hoping it will all become clear You re good You may need to power your way through a few parts, but if you don t [...]

    6. Let s face it, the world of Emerge is complicated It s excited and interesting, but also very complex There are A LOT of characters, each with their own long and intricate backstories and role in the overall story That s one of the things that makes the book so vibrant, but also something that can confuse a bit In comes The Scholar the cure for any and all confusion It s also the cure for our inevitable desire to want to learn about the characters and world we ve fallen in love with This book i [...]
