    1. I enjoyed this much than the first book in the series as it painted a fascinating portrait of 1950 s life As the title suggests, this book shows a wider view of Lina s world, with racism, immigration, gang culture and the advent of television all packed comfortably into its slim pages My daughter was particularly interested in the impact of television and the prestige of owning a set I liked the revelations about Lina s father and look forward to information about his past in Facist Italy.

    2. Lina and her best friend and also her worst enemy start writing a school magazine but she wants to keep it quiet from her dad Lina is totes one of my favourite OAGs
