    1. This was a nice follow on story from A Wild Ride, introducing Simon Frizz and his relationship with Jacky, but also providing a glimpse into the life of Dante and Ryan. The plot is fairly simple as Jacky, rodeo fan boy, has a one night stand with Frizz who has secretly entered the rodeo Of course the one night becomes as they meet up again when Frizz takes a job with Dante and Ryan Together they face Simon s coming out and acceptance of his own sexuality.Frizz s parents are not accepting of his [...]

    2. I loved this sequel I found the story quite lovely, a little bit of angst and realistic. In my humble opinion this is not a stand alone story, because the characters form the previews book are full part of this sequel.I do have some issues though, I don t know if my kindle eat some part of the story or if was meant to be like that Because one moment Jackie and Simon where making love and next Dante was confronting Simon s Dad and pointing a gun at him, that part was weird indeed. The only reason I [...]

    3. 2.75 stars First off, I need to address the cover Who is who I would assume the big guy is the bull rider, but Simon is described as having frizzy red hair so the other looks like him, except that guy does not look like he could hang onto a bull for 8 seconds Anyway, onto the book.I ve read a few of Andrew Grey s books, and he is generally a solid 3 star for me I like the characters, they are fairly well developed and I get invested in them But they talk like little old ladies with reeeeeally l [...]

    4. A Daring Ride indeed The similarity between what Simon faces once he leaves home to follow his dream and become a bullrider, then comes out as gay, and a ride that comes close to daring fate is significant Simon isn t one to hide, once he realizes the truth about himself, but he pays for it in mental anguish and emotional pain The one thing he learns to rely on is Jacky s love and support, even though that is something he never even knew he could get from a man Once Simon and Jacky get together [...]

    5. A Daring Ride is the wonderful sequel to A Wild Ride And while it could be read alone, reading books 1 would make the story much richer I love seeing the guys from A Wild Ride c Getting swept up in the story is a given, but watching as Jacky fights for the relationship they both want while Simon fears his family and the fall out of their views on homosexuality is both heartening and heart wrenching The chemistry is immediate, but the relationship is a thing in progress a beautiful thing Dante a [...]

    6. I really liked Jacky in A Wild Ride, he was a really good friend So for him to get his own story was great He meets Simon at a rodeo after seeing him ride a bull and do amazing well for an unknown They meet up at a bar and have a night together Simon has known hes gay for years, but his family own a string of Christian book stores, and are very strict in their beliefs Simon is so confused, hes very attracted to Jacky but hes been brought up to believe that its wrong Jacky has fallen in love with [...]

    7. I am fully invested in this series and I can t wait to see who is going to be featured in the next one I would highly recommend this book if you love reading about cowboys, bull riders and two young men finding love in places they never thought were possible It might be wild or it could be daring, but it will always be entertaining This is one series you don t want to miss. You can read the rest of Jackie s review at The Novel Approach

    8. I hate rating this book a 3, but there were editing mistakes that just pulled me out of the story I love Simon and Jacky and this has all the elements of the perfect Andrew Grey story, but I couldn t get past the lack of cohesion in parts.

    9. I love cowboy books and this was no exception Simon is a bull rider who is in the closet, hiding both his sexuality and his bull riding from his ultra conservative and religious parents He meets Jacky, Ryan, and Dante at a rodeo and sparks fly with Jacky He starts to completely reevaluate everything he s been taught, realizing that homosexuality isn t the dirty sin he s been taught it to be and that maybe he can live his life with another man The actions of his father made me a little sick, know [...]

    10. Original Blog Post headouttheoven 20I simply love reading about these Bullriders, especially as the story of Dante and Ryan continues on to this second installment, A Daring Ride This one features Ryan s best friend, Jacky, who I learned to like in that first book Here he is just the same Jacky, a devil may care kind of guy who has a soft spot for anything in chaps and rides bulls He meets Simon, an up and coming young bull rider who fate drops on their table at a bar when no other seats were av [...]

    11. Please leave comments on Jules s 4 sweet pea review at mrsconditreadsbooks index It s not the end of the world, Dad, Simon said softly For a long time I thought it was, but Jacky showed me that I can be gay and be loved He held Jacky s hand He loves me, Dad, and that s what counts See, I think I figured it out It s all about the love That s what you always taught all of us A Daring Ride is the second book in Andrew Grey s Bullriders series, but works just fine as a stand alone While it is nice t [...]

    12. A Daring Ride is book two in The Bullriders series, this book can be read by itself, but I d suggest reading book one A Wild Ride first so that you ll be familiar with those characters that make an appearance in this book as well Like Jacky Simon Frizzell is a fledgling bull rider He s good at it and he loves it, but fears telling his parents Frizzell is a household name known to many people as the moniker of a well known Christian bookstore chain It doesn t help his cause that his mother lost s [...]

    13. Simon has been sneaking away riding bulls for a while now He knows that his family won t approve what he does He is right, but after talking to them they give him a chance to do what he wants to do While he was at the bull riding he met Dante and Ryan from the first book Dante is retired like it said at the end of the first book, but he did ride much to Ryan s dismay Afterwards Simon The Frizz and his best friend Garner hit one of the bars were he not only got to talk to Dante and Ryan, but he w [...]

    14. While I didn t have quite the passion for this one as I did the first book in the series it was a good solid 3 STARS for me.Simon a.k.a Frizz is the son of a christian book store owner but rather than go into the family business he wants to be a bull rider After an event one night he meets Jacky and finally acts on the feelings hes had for so long, but he really struggles with his belief system and the thought of his family finding out that he is gay When he goes to live and work with Dante and [...]

    15. A Daring Ride is the second book in the Bullriders series by author Andrew Grey This is my first time reading this series I was not lost at all I really like how Mr Grey handles the coming out of Frizz It is done well, it doesn t bang us over the head, and I loved how thoughtful it was.Frizz is a rebel in his family He wants to ride bulls not work in the family book store He is brave and doesn t even see it He is gay in a conservative Christian home This causes much strife throughout this book f [...]

    16. This was an enjoyable story with likable characters Simon is the typical naive slightly confused about being gay and Jacky the out and proud friend of the ranch owner I liked Simon although hesitant was also determined to make his own choices He wasn t swayed by either his parents or Jacky but tried very hard to figure out what was right for him He really wasn t one to hide in the closet either despite the problems it caused, but that didn t feel like something Jacky pressed on him I wasn t thri [...]

    17. A Daring Ride The story of Simon Frizz and Jacky Simon is a bull rider, comes a conservative family and He is afraid of revealing his secret of being a bull rider but afraid of them knowing He is gay Jacky has no problem with being out and has the support of his friends and family They meet at a rodeo competition and hit it off Simon returned home but needs training and informs his family , he is leaving to pursue a career full time He happens to go live and work to Dante and Ryan s ranch Jack [...]

    18. If you liked Dante and Ryan in A Wild Ride, you should love reading about Ryan s rodeo fan best friend Jacky s story.Jacky falls for a new, young bull rider who is just finding his way, both in growing up and being an adult and in his sexuality Of course the road to true love is not a smooth one as Jacky has experienced heartache due to a closeted lover who ended up married but still cruising before And Simon is definitely a risk since he s grown up trying to be a good son to his strongly Christ [...]

    19. 3.5 starsThis was an enjoyable follow up to A Wild Ride and Simon Frizz and Jacky make a good couple, but it lacked some of the passion of the first book It was nice catching up with Dante and Ryan as they help Simon and Jacky out I enjoy Andrew Grey s writing style and liked the story overall Simon s struggle to accept and make a life for himself, even at the cost of losing his family made for good drama, and his relationship with Jacky was sweet and sexy There were, however, some aspects of th [...]

    20. 3.5 StarsI felt so bad for Simon when his dad found out he was gay, but I thought he handled it splendidly Parents are supposed to love their children and support them Religion can be so divisive, though I am glad that, after his parents calmed down a bit that they were accepting, even if they didn t agree I remember having a conversation with my mother when I was 19 or so when she mentioned that one of her sister s kids was gay and what a shame it was that said kid who was an adult was choosin [...]

    21. Well, at least this book had bullriding in it, much than the first one Again, nice characters that are very likeable, and we get to see quite a bit of Dante and Ryan from A Wild Ride.I m not quite sure why Jacky was so sure that Simon s parents would come around However, it was a change to see some parents who were not totally unforgiving nor universally accepting of a gay son They were nearer the unforgiving end of the spectrum, but at least they were moving in the direction of loving their so [...]

    22. Andrew Grey can do no wrong He is by far one of my favorite authors to read and I enjoy everything he writes I enjoyed this book than the first in the series but I did enjoy getting to see the guys from A Wild Ride thats one of my favorite thing about series books.Frizz Jacky are great guys apart and wonderful together I enjoyed getting to know them I hope there will be books to come in this series.

    23. This is the second in the Bullrider s series and tells the story of Dante and Ryan s friend and rodeo fanatic Jacky when he meets Simon a young up and coming bull rider The story is told from Simon s point of view as he deals with coming out and his ultra religious family It s a nice easy read but the resolution with the family just came a little too quickly for me.

    24. I loved this book Andrew did it again This is a beautiful story of salf acceptance and love My heart hurt when Simons parents found out his truth Love is love and religion is the cause of so much angst and wars Dont get me startedignorance is not bliss it is what it is ignorance Love you Andrew cant wait for the next one grabby hands

    25. Meh A bit disappointing Rushed when written Written to fullfil contract obligations Just didn t seem like Mr Grey was fully vested in the writing of this story when compared to the many other books I have read by him But that s just my humble opinion.

    26. Cowboysxy, gay cowboyseven sexier This was another great read by one of my favorite authors The characters were exceptionally written and easy to fall for I also loved that the main characters from book 1 were involved in this book so much.
