    1. There s some palpable madness insanity going on here, like in a Lindsay Hunter way But instead of food fetishes and white trash humor, Wells s go to obsessions are hair and fucking My favorites stories in this quick collection are Some Love Stories and A Dozen Notes to Ruben, which are also the two stories here constructed like numbered lists I guess I m a sucker for lists Keep an eye on this writer She s dangerous

    2. My cats think this is a fantastic book They say it is better than tuna fish and killing the awful birds that taunt them through the living room window I mean, fuck those birds, right What are you Some kind of bird lover

    3. This is an awesome collection of postmodernist stories, each like a sweet truffle of madness and poetry The stories are written much in the same style Wells likes a present tense narration, a female narrator, and small imagistic fragments combining to create the narrative of dysfunctional relationships in an age where only department store socks make sense. The pacing is always impeccable, one of those books you can t resist reading one page from even if your eyelids are drooping and you really [...]

    4. Almost as good as the novelization of Terminator II Wait, they didn t do that one Fuck. But seriously, some very good writing I enjoyed that it was emotionally honest At times, you might feel the opinion given was cruel or harsh, but really, it was pure truth Certain details and opinions, small descriptions seem to make this for me and remind me of my own upbringing or other sections of my life.It s the kind of book that, even as a guy, some parts you read, and you feel like you re sharing in the [...]

    5. This was a great read I m also a fan of Some Love Stories and A Dozen Notes to Ruben as I think they are honest and just damn beautiful Wells takes what I m thinking, cuts it out from my brain without asking, and writes it in a way that I can t A talented writer who has years ahead of her to write of this.

    6. I really, really enjoyed this The strongest moments and stories reminded me, in hints, of Amelia Gray or maybe small sparkles of Lindsay Hunter, too, both of whom I may actually be in love with, so that s def a good thing But they felt original, too Brandi Wellsian.

    7. I completely forgot I had this book Brandi Wells is one of my favorites these stories are weird, oftentimes grotesque, but mixed with unexpected hope and literal figurative deconstructions and examinations of the mind and body I m rambling, yes But there s so much here in such an deceptively small package.
