    1. So many things to love about this book From the beginning, you think you get it It s clear that she was in an accident It s clear that she s in a place where things aren t as they seem You think you understand it I love that there s a twist and that I wasn t completely right.I love the characters The world of children is magical and you really feel a part of it The only part that threw me off a little was that I was so immersed in the children s world and view of the world that some of the matu [...]

    2. I enjoyed reading this for book club, although I think it would make a better play King is creative, which I like The problem is the characterization I feel like I m getting a vague idea of who the main characters are, but they aren t real, they aren t fully developed the way that Harry Potter characters are Some of the characters actions feel out of character, not consistent with their personalities It was just ok If this was a play, it s a little slow moving Yes, there were the funny moments a [...]

    5. Although It was written for young adults or teens Kingdom of the Green Glass Straw held my attention admirably One reason it was able to do this is because Ms King developed her characters so well that the reader becomes instantly involved with their lives and the story. This is the essential skill for every writer of fiction and Ms King has it.
